Ricardo Andino (guitar / vocals)
Ricardo, originally from El Salvador in Central America is the founder of the group. He trained at the Conservatorio Nacional de El Salvador, and was a well-respected composer and musician in both the classical and contemporary fields. He has performed throughout Central America and the USA. In Australia he has been a long time member of the group Papalote, musical director of choral groups such as the Solidarity Choir, accompanist to renowned artists such as Jeannie Lewis, and a guitar and voice teacher for many years at the Australian Institute of Music.
Jane Andino (keyboard / vocals)
Jane is an accomplished latin jazz pianist, arranger, and composer who has over 15 years experience in working with latin jazz, and jazz quartets. She has played with salsa, brazilian and folkloric South American groups which include Saoco, Palmares and Cumana. In 1990 she toured Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay and Brazil with the folk music group Sol Latino. Jane has also toured extensively with the soprano Deborah Cheetham throughout England, Switzerland , NewZealand and Australia.
Beata Robins (percussion / vocals)
Beata began her musical career as a classical guitarist. Her love of Latin American music led her to Cuba where she studied singing at Instituto de Felix Varela in Havana and Afro-cuban percussion with master percussionist Celestino Lopez from 1995-1998. She toured extensively throughout Cuba, France and Spain with the Afro-cuban vocal percussion group Timbalaye culminating in the recording of their CD in Brittany, France. Since her return to Australia in 1998, she has performed as singer and percussionist in a wide variety of groups of different styles within the latin jazz genre, which includes the 18 piece mambo orchestra "Mucho Mambo".
